My abject apologies! I'm geographically challenged... If it weren't for my GPS and the trail of breadcrumbs I leave behind when I leave the house I'd never find my way back home... In my defense I'm a transplant here having grown up in the Cleveland OH area all of my life. But I still should know better as I've lived here for 20 years now...

That's it. We're still a rare breed out here.

Welcome fellow upstate New Yorker. I've been to Scotland By The Yard several times when I lived in Greenfield, MA. They have a huge selection. I got a clan kilt pin, tartan throw, two driving caps and a few books from them. Did you make it to the highland gathering on June 2 & 3 at the Genesee Country Village museum in Mumford? It's right in your neighborhood. I wanted to go but the trip was busy that weekend.

Didn't even know about it! <sigh> But I was wearing kilts down at Sonnenberg Gardens that weekend when I was on model railroad display duty. Is the gathering at the Genesee museum an annual thing?

AFAIK, Genesee Country Museum holds a highland gathering every year. There is also a very large highland games in Syracuse this summer. That isn't a very long drive from you. By the way, Sonnenberg is awesome. My wife and I are going to visit sometime this summer.
