She's beautiful. My sincere congratulations to you and your wife. I have experienced that feelinf twice in my life and both still seem like surreal memories that seem so vivid, yet in such a fog. Nothing beats the feeling of welcoming your child into the world.
Thanks for sharing this moment with us.

I know the feelings you are having. I felt the same way when my daughter was born. I still feel the same way when I think about her and she'll be 31 in Nov.

What can I say that has not already been said other than "enjoy the blessing and responsibility that has been placed in your hands"! As others have also said, thank you for sharing this precious moment with us.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I know just how you feel, man.
My daughter was born 6 weeks early, quite unexpectedly and like a whirlwind. As soon as she took her first breath, she just cried and it seemed like she would ever stop. But, as soon as the nurse plopped her in my arms, she was completely quiet and contented. There is no other feeling in the world like that.
Congratulations.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (as sung by Roberta Flack)
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the empty skies, my love,
To the dark and the empty skies
The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command
And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time my love
And it would last till the end of time my love
The first time ever I saw your face, your face,
your face, your face
One last photo of our beautiful Little Rose...
