No regrets in the least, and at 63, I'll wear what I like, when I like and where I like! (Always wondered what the bonus was about the Golden -or is it Rusty?- years). Now I know.

I guess I regret getting too big to wear the kilt I got married in thirty years ago. Also that I had a period of time, before ebay, when I couldn't afford a good kilt (and R-kilt wasn't around).
That's offset with the knowledge that I now have the resources to splurge pretty well whenever I feel like it.
And I should be thankful that it was never a problem at home (birth or married). Even my brats thought my kilt was a better choice than what I usually wear.

My only regrets are not having more kilts and like some of the others I wished I had started wearing them sooner...

    ArchAngel,
Too big to wear the kilt? Think Feileadh Mhor, the Grand Kilt, man! I enjoy wearing my feileadh beg but I really love wrapping up in that big plaid!!

Actually it was a specific kilt that I've outgrown.

I regret that I am unable to wear a kilt as often as I would like. There are work constraints, etc.

    But that's about it.

Oh, yeah, I regret not having one of those Isle of Skye and X-marks kilts . . . yet.
