That is the nicest punk kilt I've ever seen. I realise that sounds like a bit of a back handed compliment, and since in general I'm not a fan of the punk style I guess it is a little, but I am impressed. You wear it at the right height and length so good for you. As for the rest of the outfit...it's interesting. Not my style but if it makes you happy then it's great!

Looks great! The only thing missing is a badge of the fine Scottish band The Exploited! I wore my kilt often as a punk teenager in the 80s. I remember lots of my peers wearing Royal Stewart kilts and especially trousers. The girls in particular would buy kilted skirts and rip them to the desired length, leaving the bottom frayed.

I have a friend who's son in into punk. I've known him since for about 15 years. I will say that I've never understood his clothing choice, but, I will say that he has always done it with style and flair. This flair and style is present in this kilt. He has changes my image of punk.
Belsen does wear his outfit with flair and style. I don't think I could carry off the look but he does.
Belson for the old and uneducated what is the circular emblem on the sporran?

Welcome from one punk to another even tho I've started to lean towards death metal here lately. The kilt looks cool I've thought of doing something like this to one of my cheap blackwatch kilts but since my son has been born we started him a kilt out of it.

You look like a member of the Real McKenzies.

But yeah, I think the jacket looks great with a kilt.

I just don't think I'd put patches on my kilt. A bit too expensive to be putting all of those holes through.

belsen,
Respect is a two way street. I generally travel everywhere on the "T" (Boston's Public Transportation System) kilted. I am generally able to share admiration with the local punk culture, which is more into body art, and done out Levis, with a wide flair in the upper garments. I have oi polloi on CD, but I can easily see the Dropkick Murphys as this is their hometown, and they pack venues here regularly. We also have another form of Celtic punk in K of C council 62, known as the Pipes of Bunker Hill. Serious Bagpipe Celtic Punk.! I enjoy the music, but I do not dress the style. congratulations on the beginning of a very fine work of art.

Oh, well that is great. Thanks for clearing it up for me. I used to work with a guy (and a stand up guy he was!) who used to be a skinhead. He still had some prejudiced views, but knew he shouldn't. Anyway, he had to move here from Dallas because everywhere he went he would run into skinheads and get into fights for leaving the organization. The guy didn't have much of a family life and got in with the wrong crowd and made some mistakes. Now he is very ashamed to even talk about it. But he is still very much into Rockabilly and punk. He likes the most bare bones music, though. I couldn't even begin to name the bands he likes.
Keep rocking, and thanks for schooling me. I won't make the same mistake again.
