Well, hello to all of you that have given me such a nice welcome! Thanks you very much. I see members are from everywhere, which is very nice.
In response to McMurdo: Where can I get them? I have 3 pair, now, but nothing lasts forever. I bought mine from the Scottish Lion, I think.
And, in response to Nigel: It's not difficult getting into piping, but it's the devil to stay in! Your age, sex, and diligence to practice can determine how far you advance in piping. I love to practice! The tough part is not lung capacity or note reading. It's those devilish grace notes!! If you are a serious student and make it easier on yourself by getting an instructor, you should advance to a decent piper soon enough. I recommend joining a pipe band, too, as long as the instruction is geared toward your individual achievement.
