The range (or as we call it Hob) is inferred so glow's red when it's on and hot

    Regards

I've cooked on gas, electric coil and halogen glass-top, and there's probably nothing better for cooking than a real flame - it's hot when you want it hot, and off when you don't, though simmering can be a problem. Some of the newer gas stoves have a simmer setting that turns the flame on low and off periodically.

But from an aesthetic and clean-up perspective, I do like the glass-tops. I put one of those in at my country house and enjoyed it as much when it was not in use:

I've done the kitchen remodeling thing, so I appreciate all the work you put into it.

    Regards,
    Rex.

It certainly is stunning, Scro.... (sorry Derek,

We have chatted on the 'phone at intervals whilst you have been doing all of that, and I know the frustrations and problems you have had, but I have to say that it looks from here as though it was all worthwhile.

    Well done!

    Take care,
    Ham.
