Do you Skype?

So I just Skyped Sara (like that sounds nasty). I was also at fault as I didn't have my mic switched on

! I've noticed a delay in conversation which can be maddening, I've Skyped my son on his laptop sitting on the otherside of the dinning room table. He found yet another way of ignoring me now so I just do it to annoy him

. I use the chat feature often, it's much faster than pm or email. My appologies to Sara as I look a little disheveled and un-shaven.

That's ok Grant..you did freak my dog out, as he is use to music coming out of my speakers and not a persons voice...

Could I recommend that people who do have Skype put a link in their profile? If you go to "user CP" and then "edit profile" you can enter your Skype name and make it easier for X Markers to contact you!

David & use Skype all the time, we both have web cams, also it is a great way of keeping in touch, also showing each other things to, & the best reason of all is it is free, when l can get hold of him of course.

I do have Skype but I got it for talking to Diane while we're apart and, since she only has sporadic computer access right now, I hardly ever use it.
Once I'm in the states I'll get on it more often.

Oh, this sounds neat! I'll have to see about trying this once I get my laptop back (it died a couple years ago and a friend has been working on it for me). I can't run much on this current laptop or I'd give it a try now.

ok just did the skype thing with the Wizard of BC Mr. Steve Ashton! FANTASTIC! I can't believe I waited this long to give it a try. He even gave me a little mini tour of the Freedom Kilts shop. So cool!

That sounds like so much fun... It doesn't look like it would work out with my speach synthisizer going on this computer.

Although, I love hearing you all's voices, like with The Wizard's and Barb's videos. Too bad we can't get Jock Scot talking like that.

Ahh -- being new to the board, I didn't see this thread back when it started.

But, yes. I use Skype frequently. We got it to keep in touch with our grandchildren using the webcam, and our two sons. When I'm away from home, like right now, I use it to have face to face with my wife. CajunScot and I have had some webcam conversations using Skype. It works great.
