Boy, girl, boy adopted us. Now 44, 40, 37. 7 Grand kids, 1 Great grand.
Therefore I am ancient. Oldest son is Cape Verdian, youngest is Portuguese. neither interested in kilts, both do wear clothing to their heritage. Can be an interesting family gathering...

Youngest -22 - is ours and she lives in town. Middle one is hers, 30 years old and she lives 100 miles north. Oldest, 36, is my partner's ex's son, but my partner is the only mother he's known. I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be step parenting, but I love all three dearly. I had the most friction with the middle daughter, but we are closest now. ah, the ironies of life!

I dont forsee children in my future. That choice meets disapproval from nearly everyone I know, but right now I have way too much life to explore. I also dont really see my self settling down and getting married for some years, possibly well after I feel that children are a possibility.
I'm not really a "kid person." I am the youngest in my family and was alienated from any family that might have had younger kids do to some family situations. I just dont feel the need to reproduce myself.
I dare say that if I ever feel the need to have a child around I will adopt. There are plenty of children who need good homes.

Both Karen and I have never wanted to raise kids. We're barely responsible enough to look after ourselves, let alone a child! Like Zardoz said...if we want to hear the pitter-patter of little feet around the house we'll put shoes on the cats.
That being said...I have a 24 year old biological daughter from a previous relationship, who had been given up for adoption at birth. She tracked me down and has been back in my life for the past 4 years. She's now living in Calgary and attending university. She turned out to be a wonderful young lady and I'm glad to have been given a second chance to know her.

Quite. Thank goodness I'm Orthodox! Of course, as I am on track to graduate in three years, and then off to seminary, I only have seven years to find a wife. I guess if it comes down to the wire, I can always get one from Russia .

At least you wouldn't have to worry about religious differences.
