Hamish,Jim and I spent a very pleasant hour at the Commando Monument putting the world back to rights, sadly I could not show them the UK's highest mountain Ben Nevis,any of it, as it was, as usual, covered in cloud.

Period? Period! Goodness gracious me! We wear that sort of gear to some horse race meetings! I am not too sure about France, all I can say that the wedding that I was at, was the most formal of formal and apart from uniforms and one kilt, ALL the men wore morning dress. In the UK let me assure you that the morning suit is very much in use, still. I prefer to see a four in hand tie rather than a cravat though. This level of formality, during the day, is where a black,silver buttoned ,barathea argyll with four in hand tie and kilt, should be worn.
