Just my topic. Rum happens to be my favourite tipple. I like just about most of them, although there are a few more expensive brands I haven't ventured to yet.

One of my favourites is this little aussie beauty which I can buy at the bar of most Wetherspoon pubs or Peckham's deli's. It's called Bundaberg, or Bundy as affectionately known there. Cheers.

I will add my votes to those for Pussers and Sailor Jerry. IMO the Pussers is smoother. Another option with a similar flavor is the Capt. Morgan Tattoo.

There is a great anecdote on the internet of the fluid supplies of one of the early US Frigates [possibly the Constitution]. It left homeport with xx gallons of Rum, water and grog. Through the course of the cruise she took on everything except water and returned home "dry" with the exception of the water. She returned home with all of the water and none had been consumed.
