Then let me re-phrase to say UK shows.

I'm not looking for strictly BBC. Some of the shows I originally listed are not BBC, such as Doc Martin.

My Favorites are both Doctor Who Shows, and Keeping up appearances. My parents are big fans of Fawlty Towers.

Ah! Kenny Everett! (You are awful...but I lke you!"). I love all the one's listed above; but my all time favourites -from days gone by- was "Me Mammy"-an Irish Catholic farce,- and the Anglican "All Gas & Gaiters". Both had us in hysterics. Wish I could find DVD's of both.

New Tricks...you have to love the talent. Alun Armstrong (brilliant!), James Bolam (equally brilliant!) and Dennis Waterman (fantastic!). Amanda Redman...I am at a loss for any other word than "schwing!". (Aren't all the middle aged women in England as beautiful as Amanda Redman? That's what I've heard.)
I also second Last of the Summer Wine...you almost have to watch a whole lot of them to get the total concept of a series that has been running as long as LOTSW...this show has been on so long that one of the lead actors passed away and was replaced by his son playing the character's son in the context of the series. I especially always liked Billy Hardcastle..."a direct descendant of Robin Hood"...what a nutter.
And of course.....The Prisoner. Hammer Into Anvil: best episode ever!
And for you Torchwood fans, I give you the following:

....enjoy!
Best
