Favorite album? Can't do that, I like them all. Same with favorite "period", although I do lean towards the early years.

    Favorite song is easy...Nowhere Man.

    Favorite Beatle...Paul, for his vocals.

Favorite Beatles memory...in Grade 7, about 1975, we had a deal in English class where we could order paperback books. I was a HUGE Beatles fan at that point in my young life, and the first book I ordered was the Beatles lyrics book. I was on cloud 9 when it arrived.

As one of my dear innocent students said about a decade or so ago ...

"I just heard that Paul McCartney had another band before Wings..."

I'm one of those that LOVE them enough to make up the difference for you nay'sayers!

How much do I like them?
    This much:

    Favorite album:

This is SOOOOOOOOOOO hard. I can say my favoriteS are "The White Album", Let It Be, and Abbey Road. Then of course there's Rubber Soul and Revolver. How does one pick his favorite lung???

    Favorite Song:
Man, there are TONS of favorite songs.
In no particular order, and far from complete... just some randoms that come to mind...

In My Life, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, A Day in the Life, Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for me and my Monkey, Golden Slumbers, Revolution, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Two of Us, Yesterday, Let it Be, The Long and Winding Road, Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man,....

    Favorite Beatle:
Yeah, count me of those who can't and WON'T pick.

    Favorite Beatle Memory:
We had O bla Di o bla da played at our wedding as we walked down the aisle to receive our friends and family.

    **Bonus**
    Favorite Beatles Cover:
The I am Sam soundtrack was PACKED full of great covers. I enjoyed most all of them.

    That was a great soundtrack.

I can't pick a favorite album, but song would be All you need is love, Don't let me down, or the Ballad of John and Yoko or.......Ok, so maybe a most are favorites.

Favorite Beatle would probably be John, with George and Paul close behind. Not really a Ringo fan.

I remember and was a part of all the Beatle "periods." When they first hit here on Ed Sullivan I was a freshman and really couldn't see what made all the girls swoon...but the next thing you know I had Beatle boots and the hair began to grow...and so did I! Lots of memories, mostly good, but put me down as a diehard fan of the White Albumn....that is me and Rocky Raccoon!!

Sorry to be unpopular, but I've never really been into the Beatles. I was born in 1960, so my appreciation of music didn't really start until around 1972. I've got a couple of original Beatles vinyl singles belonging to my family. I probably hated John Lennon's solo career the most. They are giants of the music industry and I appreciate them for that. I like a lot of their hits, but with someone else singing them. Now, probably my taste would make some folks cringe. For example, I am looking forward to my Neil Diamond concert this weekend. I am finding as I get older, I am willing to give a listen to stuff that passed me by first time around. For example, I recently heard for the first time an album by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. I recently picked up 2 vinyl albums by England Dan & John Ford Coley. They only ever had the "I'd really love to see you tonight' hit here in the UK. I've got stuff from John Mayer, Jason Mraz whom I discovered recently. Loads of new country stuff, Alison Krauss (mmmm), Mary Chapin Carpenter and so the list goes on. What were we talking about? Oh yes, the Beatles. Sorry no vote on this one.

This is a good poll. I'm sort of with Retro Red on this. The Beatles were always my favourite band, and still are. I grew up on them. I like them all, like all their albums, and have only a small number of songs that I don't care for.

    Choices:
    1) If you make me pick, I'll say Revolver is my favourite album.
    2) I can't pick any one favourite song; it's impossible.
    3) I'd have to say George, but I like them all.
    4) Seeing them for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Buying my very first record, in Cranbrook, B.C.: it was the single of "A Hard Day's Night", and it cost $1.06 including tax.
Hearing that George had died, while on my way to work. Even though I knew he was really sick, it still broke me up. For me, his guitar still gently weeps.

    What a group.

I can't vote. When you like the group as much as many of us do, I don't know how you can pick any one period.

    I can't pick one album.
    I can't pick one song.
    I can't pick one Beatle.

But may I never forget the night I was down in the basement and my older brother was upstairs. He was singing a Beatles tune, but I don't remember which one. I just couldn't understand why he was singing such a strange melody...so finally out of frustration, I joined in and discovered he was singing a harmony part. He came downstairs, picked up his guitar and for the next hour we sang Beatles songs. I think it's the first time I knew we were going to be all right.

Count me as another that can't vote. I love them all, but I lean towards the later stuff, except for the earlier stuff - but the middle years were great. Let it Be would be in my top three favorites.

While in junior high (late 60's), my neighbor Jim and I learned to play guitar when he got the "Big Book of the Beatles" song book. We played from the book along with the records for hours and hours. Even now, when I hear a Beatles song on the radio, I find myself singing along, remembering most of the words.

The Beatles were my ticket to Rock and Roll. Their evolution paved the way for my evolution in taste and variety. I guess alot of it was part of growing up in the "day".

    Great thread Jamie!

First off, thanks Panache for a great thread!

    -White Album is fav album

-Elenaor Rigby is fav song....something about the string section does it for me

-Ringo is my favorite Beatle....come on...he's the drummer!

-Favorite cover....has to be U2's cover of Helter Skelter.....not for Bono's singing (he kinda messes with the lyrics) but for the intro
"this is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles....and I'm stealin' it back"
