Great set of pictures and with well dressed kilt wearers. Liked the highland dancers in the various tartans. This used to be the case in Ontario, Canada but the available tartans now are a homogenized mix of about 2-3 dress tartans. Prefer the variety but was likely done to " standardize" the outfits.

    some of my pics

Great pics so far, here are a few of mine

Whilst Hamish takes a photo, my chance to get a pic of the infamous 90th kilt.

Another view of the xmarks basecamp.

And finally...I left these three alone for 5 minutes, when I returned, this was where I found them! Jim, Trefor and Hamish.

    Good pictures Martin!

Having said that the beer was more than he would normally drink in six months Hamish had no problem sinking it!

    OK some more of mine.

    Lifting the caber.

    Tossing the caber.

A kilted stroll - nice tartan.

    Kilted generations.

This chap was the only male adult dancer. He was very good.

    More to come!

More pics of the male dancer.

That answers the "question!" (well not really as it's expected for an event like this!)

How to get your sporran to 90 degrees.

    Take off!

    Pleats behaving themselves this time.

    Flying again.

I would think that his tartan is a specific one for dancing.

Well, I am humbled by my friends' photos - very well done all of you. Unfortunately, of the very few in my camera, I have been able to salvage only three (mainly thanks to Adobe!):

Here we are, in a rare moment when we were not smiling (!), and before things really got going around us........

A group of six-minus-one, taken by me...........

.... and another group of six-minus-one, taken by Jim.........

My apologies for letting the side down (photographically), and I will try to get some still shots from the camcorder Jim and I were using, but here we are talking 'matters technical' - and we all know that technicals and Ham seldom go together! Also, I have very little time to spare for such things at the moment so, maybe by Christmas....................

    Take care,
    Ham.

Glad you got some sorted Hamish!

    More of mine.

Another kilted generations pic (including one to come!)

Another good kilted activity - ice cream eating!

    Another six-minus-one!

His Lairdship using his Fuji Finepix S9500 taken with the same model camera.

    Practicing session.

The grand massed band parade begins.

More great photos Trefor but, alas, one inaccuracy in the caption above!

I was, in fact, using my new Sony HDR-UX19 High Definition Camcorder - Jim had charge of my Fuji Finepix S9500 still camera at that time!

Keep yours coming; they are so good!

    Take care,
    Ham.
