    Wow. If you ever need a step-dad, I'll be happy to fit the bill. Out of curiosity, how did you make those leather cantles? Is the leather wrapped over a form or something?

    Those are all simply amazing.
    Leather work is one thing I have never tried my hand at.
    I may after looking at these. If I can learn to turn out something even half as fine as you do, I will be proud as can be.

    I too am interested in knowing how you did those braided cantles. I have some experience leatherworking, but haven't tried a sporran yet.

    I've also looked at the roadkill I see here in sunny California and been tempted to try my hand with one of them; I've been concerned about freshness, and disease.

    I looked over at the thread on the making of the silver fox and noted the muppet subthread, I still have a "Cookie Monster" puppet I thrifted years ago, I might try him as a full mask sporran. I've been at Disneyland all week, but they don't have anything that lends itself to conversion.
