I have cast my vote for "NightStalker". I own one but, as many newbies may do, I ordered it based on my pants size (this was well before my enlightening). I have recently discovered kilt extenders. A set are on order and should be in Oregon when I get there. In order to try them and then give a review, I will be bringing the NS with me. Wouldn't it be grand, the Kilted Juggernaut and the Kilted Wordsmith.................TWINS!!!

I voted Black Stewart. I love this tartan and, if it's your favorite, he may wear it more often to please you - always a good thing
About the Leatherneck tartan, it is my opinion that anyone can wear this tartan as a show of support for veteran and serving Marines.

Does it matter what we choose?
You seem like the kind of woman that would get him a Harris Tweed kilt just because!

Okay, I voted for Mackenzie, but I my real choice would be the weathered Mackenzie. I love the look of the tartan represented in the standard. Damn, another one I need in the future...You realize this is the first time I have ever "shopped" for a man that wasn't kin!

Ummmmm, you might not want to let Panache wear brown with that Nightstalker, maybe a really red-ish brown, probably the same for the Black Stewart.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Consider this: whatever you get him, he may not wear it if it makes his hips look big.

The Leatherneck tartan cannot be surpassed, but that's just my opinion. I own one, and it's not only appropriate for old jarheads, it's fine for anyone who wishes to strike a dashing figure. (Reckon Panache fits the bill on that one? . . . Duh!)
And anyone is welcome to wear the Leatherneck, no service required. It has very fine colors, matches with just about anything, and it isn't overdone like the Black Stewart. The Black Stewart--albeit a fine tartan--is too . . . how shall I say it? . . . black and red!

Be well,
If I may so bold as to ask, But why veto those. They are both fine looking tartan, I own an Irish National and my wife loves it.
