Didn't get a display due to being out of stock, but that can wait, here is my Macbook Pro which is replacing my hardworking G5 imac:
I added the wireless keyboard and mouse from the deceased desktop to my set up.

I've been forced to use Macs at work for the last 11 years. I would never allow one in my house.

So, Bob, how's that bake sale going on? ;-)

I exactly the opposite. Been a Mac user at home since the Mac Plus--Amiga user before that. I LOVE the Mac! PCs I tolerate at work because I have to, but I have a dual processor G5 (with Parallels and RDC) that's my main work machine so I can pretty much stay in a Mac environment 75% of the time.
Sticking to the original post, at home I currently use a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. Great machine! It's serving me well.

Currently I have five MACs of various ages. I run my MacBook Pro with a older Apple cinema. It's beautiful.
I do have a PC and am a MS certified professional. I turn on the PC once a week to download the virus definitions.

I've never heard of a reliable HP machine.
(used to work computer repair, HP's were probably second-most-often worked on pc's in the shop [second to gateways])

Get the 24" iMac with the glossy screen, the images are so much more vivid. I have a 19" matte-screen LCD plugged into my iMac for my second monitor, it looks quite dull in comparison.
I feel like I am on the bridge of the Enterprise when I fire up the 24" iMac.
