The first thing I liked about this kilt (that always worried be about people I'd seen in kilts) was that it looked and felt like a kilt. I'd seen some American made kilts of utility that seemed a little skirt-like. I picked up my Freedom Kilt and it was actually kind of heavy. The tag says Steve used 6.16 yards of the material I sent... which is pretty hefty considering it's a contemporary kilt. People saw it and instantly recognized it as a kilt.
