That’s a specialty (shape) item. If your height isn’t just exactly right for the 24" length and if your waist (either) to hip ratio is not just exactly dead on for that stock fit then you’ll be mightily disappointed!
And, there's a troop of Clan MacRae Tartan Police who will be only too happy to confiscate your new acquisition. So beware!
(Heh heh. More for me! Ah ha ha ha ha ha…)

Absolutely right! If a 24" inch length doesn't work for you, well you are completely out of luck...

That's an amazing looking kilt. I really want one now, although I'm not a McRae, but it's a beautiful tartan.

Uh huh. If I by some miracle manage to get one, the police will have to fight it off my body. And a 5'10, 290 pound martial artist can put up one heck of a fight.

I can't sew or hem or anything of the sort, so I'd need to take it to a tailor. Is there any specific information I'd need to bring to the tailor, however, in regards to hemming a kilt; I'd assume they don't do it often...

Just tell them that you need an N inch "blind hem", and reiterate that they are NOT to press or iron the kilt after they're done. Cleaners have a bad habit of ruining kilts by mis-pressing the pleats.
