So many have weighed in that it has al been said, but I want my post on this thread to mark my acknowledgement of the excellent service these gentlemen have given to the X-Marks the Scot Community. Well done those men.

I would like to join the many others who have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to you all for your service to this forum. I have been a member on several other forums (some which by their very nature SHOULD be pleasant places) but have NEVER found a better place. I have found Xmarks to be a truly friendly and welcoming place and in a way consider you all to be family.

Thanks to all the moderators for all the work they have done to keep xmts the great place that it is.
Thanks David, Todd and colin for the work you have put in, it is very much appreciated. I'm glad to hear you are not leaving xmts.
Thanks in advance to the people on the short list who accept the jobs of moderator for the future.
May everybody have a Happy New Year and many more happy years on xmts.

I may not make it over here much lately, but I want the current mods and the three retiring gentlemen to know that I appreciate the fact that their hard work means that when I do I come to a safe welcoming place.
Todd, David, Colin, thank you for your work in the past. I know that moderating is not an easy job, and I appreciate that you were willing to take up the task.
Todd, congratulations on the "Kilted Historian" title. I do always appreciate that you are willing to share your knowledge with all of us on the board.

I would like to add my thoughts of appreciation to those already stated. I lurked a little before joining and posting. I have appreciated the calm atmosphere and sense of community that the moderators have maintained on this board. Like others, I have seen the extremes elsewhere, and find that the balance here is most welcome. I also appreciate the input that you all have shared with the board.

Gentlemen,
Thank you for keeping us in line. I never envy someone that job, except for their dedication to the job.
Cajunscot, congratulations.

I would like to thank David, Todd and Colin. Xmarks is the best forum of which I am a member. I spend to much time here and I can't image the amount of time you guys spend. My hat is off to you and all the mods of this forum.

Run with a light hand, run with a light touch, the moderators have always managed to keep X-marks on an even keel, gently correcting us when we go astray . . . even me (me! whodathunkit?) . . . and always in such a manner that we want to play by the rules.
Except that Jamie fellow! (Ducking.)
I hope that your retirement only makes the X-marks experience more joyous and fulfilling for you all, retiring mods!
