I ordered one a few years back since they were inexpensive. Very nice, but what they call large is a medium at best to those of us who are . . . well, LARGE.
I gave mine to a friend who looks very spiffy when he wears it with a plain tie.

I bought a similar French jacket a while back; fit is OK, I don't remember the sizing; color is a darker blue. I removed the wings that were sewn on above the pocket, most of the buttons are hidden, so I left them alone. I used to be a very regular customer of SG, sizing is frequently potluck.
BTW, I remember way back seeing surplus BW kilts in the catalog; they were sold as display only, you couldn't specify size, but the price was quite low for the item as I recall.

Got mine. I got "LUCKY" It fits GREAT.
Size ordered LG. It came marked large (52) BUT as we have discussed it is not a "large.)
I am slender & My measurements are 40" chest, 33" waist, average. ( for a slender person) Shoulders. 23 1/2" sleeve.
The Jacket fits like it was "tailored" for me.
As to what to wear with ?? A turtle neck or tie ??

Glad to hear, Puffer. If you post a pic, some of us will be jealous.
I sent an email to Sportsmansguide last night, explained the situation. They told me not to bother with a return, but that they would credit me in full- I hope I don't start a stampede here. I replied how generous that was and that I would be purchasing from them again. Just thought I would let people know.

Just fired off an email to the Sportsman's Guide customer service explaining the situation - will update after I hear back.
Mine is close to fitting. I wonder if a 52 would be large enough, but my 50 is awfully snug (can't button it, and I'm slim).

I'm close to your size - about a 40" chest, 24" sleeve, 35" waist. I can fit into my size "50", but can just barely fasten the buttons. Too bad, as I really like the jacket.
