Ouch. Hope you get better soon, I messed up one of mine several years ago while climbing and trimming trees.

I hope you have a speedy recovery, rest up, I guess you won't be taking the dog for a hike for a while.

A quick recovery for you, McN. I know the knees. The medial minisci in both of mine were removed in the mid-70s the old fashioned way.

A really huge THANKYOU to all of you fellow XMarkers for the well wishes. You are such an upbeat group that you got my spirits up. The Doc said I can return to school tomorrow with light duty and crutches. I'll have to do some PT to avoid any surgery but the Doc warned that my degenerative condition in the knee will eventually require replacement. Well not this week/year/or other time frame, if I have any say in the matter. I'll just have to watch myself and not do anything toooo stupid with the knee. So anyway day 2 has been uneventful and I really appreciate what all of you have said. No more walks with Indy for a while McMurdo. Again THANX!

    Been There

I feel for you Brother. I have a 6 inch scar on the right knee from 1969 and scoped in 2005. The left one has only about a 4 inch scar from 1970 (I guess they were getting better!!) The right shoulder was done in 1989 and scoped in 2004 and The doc and I are waiting to replace that miserable joint.

Being a jock was a great time in my teens and early 20's but when pushing 60 the abush sure has come home to roost.

    Hang in there.
