Retired. I'm sure there are a bunch of projects I should be doing but I just can't remember them.

I closed my business at the end of October, but much of the next six weeks I was still busy gathering in fees, paying bills, writing up the books etc. then I allowed myself a Christmas break.
I'd hoped to start learning to drive a bus this week but still waiting on my vocational licence arriving.
Meantime, I've still got some residual part-time things on the go, such as the Housing Association, which only takes up a few hours a week, and the Aviation Museum which is seasonal and which will keep me busy again one or two days per week from Easter onwards.

After 34 years of toil and strife I’ve been retired for a year and a half.
Completely retired – no post-retirement occupation other than to smell the roses.
But don’t think that I’m getting away with anything.
I have more years behind me than in front of me.
So it’s a wash.

In the Winter, I switch over to staying up most of the night in case we have a freeze. I have to go flood the citrus if it gets bad; though, the fruit would be fine if the tree froze.
I have some frost tender tropical and desert plants that need to be covered from time to time... It hasn't been too bad this year.
So, I'm just organizing information on my computer... grouping files better in folders etc.
Then, when my brain is scrambled from doing that, I come over here. Oh, and I'm sitting next to a pile of grapefruit right now.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I have an office job as an accountant. I to have the Xmark open on a tab on my computer all day and checks in now and then. What surprises me a little is that it seems some of you are online almost any time of day, but so am I. My wife is going nutts soon. I'm on the computer all the time she says and she is not so hooked on kilts as I am.

I work 60 plus hours a week usually, but sometimes log on early in the morning before work or over my lunch break, and as the settings on my computer are set to keep me logged on until I actively log off it often seems like I may be online when I am actually working. If I walk away and forget to log off before leaving home for work or vice versa it can sometimes appear as if I am logged on for hours if not days on end.
At least that is the story I am telling my boss and my wife, and I am sticking to it.

I am an IT professional, so I am on-line most of the day going from one of three screens or two different computer systems and I occasionally monitor X Marks and my two e-mail accounts along with my work e-mail.

I work 4 and 5, which means I've got a long weekend every other week. If my handle shows up in the "Currently Active Users" list it's either my weekend or I'm home at the end of a 12 hour work day (includes the commute). I don't peruse XMTS while at work.
And as was said above, sometimes I walk away from the home computer for hours at a stretch with XMTS still loaded in the browser so it appears I'm on even though I'm not.
