My Iowa kilt is from Matt Newsome. He can get "small-batch" runs of obscure tartans from at least one Scottish weaver, as can Barb T.
The colours are actually "ancient colours", so the tartan is much more "subdued" than the modern variant you see on some of the Iowa Scottish organisation's web sites.

These look very nice. I've ordered a pair of diced and will probably order a couple more pair, including an argyll, if I am satisfied.
