UK Snow
We get snow every year, and even when it is forecasted several days ( or even months !) ahead, we fail to make proper plans for it. Power lines come down, car drivers dont slow down or take more care, and bus drivers are too frightened to take their buses out. Happens every year !
Here in the North East of England we had about 3 inches yesterday morning, but last night we had rain so it has almost disappeared. Not worth taking any pics.

With the winter we have had so far here in the cornpatch, could I be an honorary Canadian ? I have breathed a lot of Canadian arctic air this winter.
Love the poem Grant !

The snow that fell in Glasgow yesterday melted as soon as it hit the ground. I just hope that there will be a large dump on Glencoe mountain ski resort, because I had a lovely day out there a couple of weeks ago with the new snow, and it would be nice to get some fresh snow on it again!
You can kind of see why London wouldn't have too many snowploughs (bit expensive for 1 use every 20 years!) but you had to laugh at large sections of the Underground being closed . Also I love the way the news coverage keeps saying "the whole UK is at a standstill" when they mean "London and the Southeast of England have taken a day off"

So long as you can call people "Hosers", and remember to say "Eh", and "aboot" then you're welcome in as an Honourary Canadian. Oh yes, remember to add the U in things like honour and colour.

Oh well, I can already speak Canadian, Adam. Spent some time in Alberta and Saskatchewan with other knife maker types, and hunting. Had a grand time. I could live on your side of the border without too much trouble, I think.
I like snow. I like it even more when it melts.

Best quote I heard was if the Axis had dropped snow instead of bombs in WW2 they would have had a walk over in 40

I'm afraid this may be a delayed result from our Arizona Cardinals football (American) team playing in & nearly winning the Super Bowl last Sunday.
The FAA has reported several near misses with flying javelinas in the vicinity of our Sky Harbor International Airport & REI reported shipping a heavy-duty parka, long underwear & mittens to a Lucifer S.
Be thankful the Cardinals didn't win or you'd be advised to watch out for approaching glaciers!
.
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!
