So the dinner is booked then. Did anyone get on the actual list? I may be in PA (if my new nephew arrives) otherwise I may try to make it. If we are not doing the Burns Dinner, is there a time to assemble?

Sorry, I won't make it. I've got too many other things going on this weekend.

It does sound like a great night!! Sadly, notice is too short, to change plans already a-foot! Take lots of pics, and post 'em here!! I'll enjoy the telling of the tale, after it's all over.........

SO,
let's see here who's coming:
Meinfs,
Mael Coluim and wife

Is 6:30 PM okay with you?
Plan "A"
Go and meet at the Royal Mile Pub (without dinner) and hope they'll let us in and hope even more that we all will fit in there (physically).
Plan "A.1" Meet at Royal Mile Pub, enjoy the evening and celtic music AND then
bar hop to McGinty's a few miles down to Silver Spring.
If you've already driven many miles, why not check out another place, especially a nice place like McGinty's. I'm sure they're not going to discriminate against properly kilted guys, don't ask, don't tell. If asked, say "nunya."
McGinty's Public House
911 Ellsworth Drive, Silver Spring, MD
McGinty's on the 2nd floor has lindy hop swing lessons too (on Sundays) WHICH means they have a live band (that plays swing music and blues). On Feb 15, the band is Bad Influence a blues-infused high energy music. Upstairs is the live music area , $10.
This is located at the nice and renovated "downtown" Silver Spring. Large free public parking (after 6:30, I believe; and on weekends). Lots of stores and shops, restaurants abound, Barnes and Noble bookstore, DSW Shoes, movie house, etc.).

Getting in the R M P
I called the RMP this afternoon and was told we would be welcomed to eat/drink at the bar as long as there is room. With our spot(s) on the wait list, I think we jave a good chance to be seated for the festivities. Surely others who RSVP won't make it for some reason. I would really like to try to get in for the Burns dinner.
I will leave work early and hit the road to try to make the 6 seating time. But we know how traffic is on 95. It would be important for you other guys who can get there as soon as possible to grab seats when they come up.
Mein if you can't make it till 6:30 we'll save a seat for you! My wife will be staying home with the kids.
If we can't get in, then the fall back would be McGinty's
What say, you?

If the place seated 60 I would be surprised. We have had kilt night there before. Taps were broken that day.
