The new side pockets are pretty nifty, for a kicking around the house and yard kilt!
Ah, thank you very much, now I know what to order from now on. I've never been a fan of velcro but this was intended to be an "around the house" kilt so it works. I will definitely look into other options - though I am glad I opted for the sewn-down pleats.

Goof looking tartan! I ordered last year the Black Watch SK with sewn-down pleats and pockets. It's really comfy. I'll be wearing it this weekend forTartan Day activiites. My first kilt has to be a SK purchased in '95 which I wore after club bike rides. It was great to get out of the sweaty bike shorts and experience true Freedom! That kilt is still worn around the house. It's now marketed as their comfy kilt.

Can you get them without the patch - or is the patch easily removable?

Patch can be removed. If you wear a belt, the belt covers it.

Both. They are made up to order; so I'm pretty sure if you ask, they'll just send the patch along with it. It's pretty easily removed with a seam ripper.

    New

New website for SK launches monday (they told me today).
As far as ordering they will make it anyway you want.
As fas as Burns Night goes MacKellar wore his to such a Nor Cal event last year (and probably this year too), it's all a matter of what you order.
The patch is easily removed, you can order the 1 inch patch, or no patch at all.
My newest kilt will be on the website monday as well.

    CT - and it's nice
