I don't think I voted because I can't get my hubby free enough to discuss anything with him, he's been overwhelmed with work.

We did Arlington in December... we're probably due for a Dallas outing and I definitely want to do something for Grapevine at some point. It's the closest to me and I've got some plans for some fun outings (including a kilted run on the British Emporium... Irn-Bru anyone?).

We definitely will have to plan all over the place since we're all spread out all over the place. It's probably going to just be easiest to pick a time and place and just start calling it and seeing who shows up (keeping in mind, it may take a little time before it catches on). A lot of the members don't log on here to vote (I've stopped PMing them because some of them haven't been seeing it and have even missed some of the stuff I've sent out). I know a few who have just told me personally to let them know when something is going on and where and they'll see if they can make it. From personal experience, sometimes the voting thing doesn't work although it is a great idea to find the best location and time... unfortunately, you need folks to vote and since people don't always come here... well, the polls don't really get the traffic. I suggest just to start calling it and sending out notes to folks to let them know and round up the troops so to speak. There are some who have preferences for various reasons, and some who can't plan ahead.

I'm replying right now without bothering to ask the hubby if we're still able to go (2nd half of the month is usually best for us although the last week of May isn't going to be good -- it's his birthday and we'll be busy)... so I have no idea what his preferences are or anything.

Sorry about not being able to vote myself. Rowdy and I have just found that it can be very frustrating trying to plan these things

We need a representative for each of the following areas:

Dallas

Mid-cites North (Grapevine?)

Mid-cites South (Arlington Highland?)

Mid-cites Central (360/30)

Fort Worth - I am willing to run this one, if no one wants it

We also need to have everyone to send the following info to representatives, when picked:

Name - Real & Forum
Contract phone number &/or email

The representative that is coming up will send out the info for his (or her) meet and the info that the next in rotation will be (ie - This meet is Dallas. We will meeet at abc at 123p and the next Meet will be MidCities - South).

The rotation will be as such:
Dallas - May
Mid South - June
Mid Central - July
Mid North - Aug
FW - Sept

It is suggested that we have it the Third Sat of each month at 7p

The reps will keep in touch with each other and if there needs to be an adjustment, the next in line will move up and swap with the present. We will go this way for one round and see if we need to move the total stops to 4 instead of five to make the stops happen three times a year.

OK, went ahead and posted a note on the Kilt Night board regarding our first monthly kilt night as proposed by our illustrious Wolfhawk. Find the details here.

I'll be poking around as I can today and tomorrow to find everyone I can with a North Texas area location and send out some PMs in case they don't see either of these posts. Not sure if we should invite the Houstonians... they might be spies!
