Geat idea for a sporran chain. Since it is non -adjustable the technique begs the qeustion, how do you determine what your length needs to be?
Do you just take your natural waist and assume that the width of the sporran will give the appropriate "sag"?
Do you add xx " plus the sporran width?
Is there a way that I did not see to add adjustability for waist fluctuation?
This looks like a project that a seasoned sailor could pull off [now where did I put that 35 -40 feet of "small line" [BTW to the Navy "small line" is anything under 4" in diameter]]

There is no adjustment.
As for the length he made for me, I used my leather sporran belt, adjusted to where I like it, laid it out flat and measured it.

I think one done like that but with some type of shiny shiny wire instead of paracord would make a fantastice eveningwear strap...... Now, where to find some wire.......
