A speedy recovery for your husband! I'm afraid we men are all babies when women are tending to us. The same doesn't apply when we're with the lads or by ourselves. I could practically cauterize a wound if I had to, but I'll jump and shout when my wife pulls out the odd grey hair!

Kilt him up and he will find things are easier than with pants when he uses only one hand. Staying around the house he can get used to it.

Ohh, tell him to quit milking it!*
Seriously, I hope he heals up quick and proper.
* = I only have one-arm and I don't need help thus far for getting dressed and pretty much everything else. So it CAN be done, just takes time and practice.
Ohh, is it hard to put a kilt on one-handed? I'll find out soon, I'm looking for one now.

Toe clips
I too understand toe clips, steep downhill then a blowout in the front tire and it was on......butt-tincup-butt-tincup-butt-tincup-thornbush. I will say in its defense, the thornbush was much softer than the asphalt!

I've recked on a bike so many times... I used to race and it was crash or win, whatever came first. I was a state road and crit champion. It's not if you are going to crash, it is when... Needless to say, even Lance crashes (the best Tour de France cyclest ever). I gotta say that crashes on a mountain bike can be much worse than crashing on a road bike. The road bike usually slides out from under you and you end up with severe road rash. Crashing on a mountain bike usually involves hitting an unmovable object like a tree, boulder, rock strewn path. Good luck with it and tell him to get on the trainer and put the broken appendage in his compression short's waist band.

Wearing a kilt will help him heal quicker! Everyone here at XMarks knows that.

Ah yes, clips. You have my sympathies, and not the least for the situation that he's probably off his bike for awhile. That tends to make cyclists CRANKY (pun intended).
Got a pretty bad ankle sprain yesterday helping the wife move boxes of books (that makes it her fault, right?). So now I'm off mine for awhile, too. May have to go back to flat pedals temporarily.
Hang in there, he'll be back to good as new soon.

And he can't golf either. He's pretty down I'm using that to get him to switch from clips
