I buzz cut my stubble every couple of weeks. My son stopped by one day to take a shower and asked for shampoo. He was shocked when I told him I don't use it!

I'll agree with you there. I shave down by choice, although I do notice that the right and left flank are retreating while the middle is holding fast (The "Widows Peak" runs in my family). When I tell my daughter to "get out of my hair" she always replies with "But you don't have any, Dad!".
