Oh, that's neat; I had no idea you put it in your box pleat kilts.
I don't know enough about kilts, but I love the way heavy hair canvas shields shape the front of some of the nicer jackets in the chest/shoulder area. It's pretty neat stuff, and kind of sad that it isn't used more.

my local fabric store has 2 and a (wee) bit, bolts, @ $13 (CAD) per meter; just bought 2 meters (24" wide).

Make sure that you don't mix this stuff up with the medium weight hymo, for example, from Vogue, if you look for other sources.
