I believe it was made in the UK, but sold through Rocky at USA Kilts. Surplus tartan, I think it was. No telling where all of it went.
Regards,
Rex.
Aparently if it was made in Scotland it would have had to have been in 2 places - and if you bought it before 2007 according to John Paul at ScottishTartanStore it would be made by ScottishTartanStore.
I dont see what he'd get from lying... although he did prove that they had designed it

Commissioned this year. Here's the thread where it was announced that it was available, and here's my review of it when it arrived.
I think it's an attractive tartan. I wore it this weekend to an outdoor concert, in fact (in unseasonably cold summer temperatures). You'll look great in yours. Be sure to post pics?
Regards,
Rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Paul, although my Clan is Gunn I am not particularly driven by clan association but I am proud to wear the Gunn tartan (in spite of not caring too much for the look of it!). To me, it is the people wearing the tartan that are more important than the clan to which they might belong. But that's just me.
In spite of what I say, I will be wearing my Clan tartan, which is my oldest kilt (1973)** - Gunn in muted colours - to The Gathering on the Saturday, but on the Sunday I will probably opt for something I will be happier dressing-down in, as yet undecided.
See you there.
Take care,
Ham.
** That is, if I can still do up the straps! I have not worn it for well over a year, and I know I've put on a few pounds in weight since then! Must check it before I pack it.

Good choice..... All the festivities are about the Clans.. So represent yours... And if they give you a go.... Inform them you were not present at the infractions..lol

I'm pretty sure my ancestors werent present either. Irish potato farmers for generations over 300years until my grandfather's Campbells moved to Glasgow from Ireland in the early 20th century.
As far as I'm aware - being fundamentalist Catholics they would have opposed anything non-Catholic i.e. the Scottish Campbells!

If you do a little digging in the family "potato patch" I think you'll discover that your Irish Campbells originated in Scotland...
