I used to work at a company that was on the approach to Andrews AFB in Suitland Md, Home of Air Force One. When the boss is not in the plane, the crews practice touch and go's all day long. We would watch the plane make colassal loops all day long.

That's one very pretty bird, I think. And great photo - how often does that sort of thing happen to a person? (I saw it once, way off on the far side of the tarmac at an airport I came into, another life ago.) It prompted me to look up again the story of its design.

    Regards,
    Rex.

Any USAF aircraft the president is aboard is Air Force One. The Boeing 707s (AF designation: VC137) were tail numbers 26000 and 27000. To the best of my knowledge, they remain in use to this day. The Boeing 747s (AF designation not known to me) bear tail numbers 28000 and 29000.

It was a grand picture of the aircraft against the beautiful clear sky.

But a TREMENDOUS waste of U.S. Tax Payers MONEY! It was a waist of a trip!

    Just my opinion!

I saw a program on one of the cable channels on the president's transportation, and I think they called the limo "Cadillac One."

Might have been a little tongue-in-cheek, though.

    Regards,
    Rex.
