Great photos from what seems to have been a wonderful cruise and at a time when we had still the summer ahead of us.

Front view of the Stavanger Domkirke.

Statue of Norwegian writer and author Arne Garborg - had not heard of him before.

This is Breiavatnet, a lake in the middle of the City, complete with obligatory Måk (Seagull)!

I liked this statue of a boy feeding the ducks at Breiavatnet.

Valbergtårnet, a tower that was originally used for firewatching in Stavanger and which offers lovely views.

One of the views from the top of the tower.

More views from the top of Valbergtårnet. You can see one of the bridges on this one that connects Stavanger with the outlying islands.

Here looking over the city centre and the roof of the Domkirke.

And some of the more modern buildings just off the city centre.

The view across the Harbour.

The Bouddica dwarfs the surrounding buildings.

Street view in Gamle (Old) Stavanger.

It is probably a training- or test area for us of lifeboats used on oil drilling platforms in the North Sea. Stavanger is Norway's oil capital.
Skål!

I do remember that the building on the promontory was a Naval Hospital but can't comment on the lifeboats.
Statute commemorating Norwegian emigrants to America.

Another view across Breiavatnet.

A Stavanger side street.
