Alas - I would say that neither gave the haggis the best possible accompaniment.
Scooping up gravy soaked haggis alternating the addition of mashed potatoes and neaps - sigh.
Though the gravy does need to have half a shoulder of lamb, carrots, celery, half an onion, a couple of potatoes, and a long slow simmer before liquidising and thickening with a roux.
There is no wonder that some people think they do not like haggis.
