Exactly. And I am by no means, looking for praise by posting photos of me in Highland attire on XMTS. I am enthusiastic and excited about sharing how I wear Highland dress, just as the next guy on here. Thanks for your comments.
Kind regards,

Kyle,
This is one area where you are not very traditional old chap. It's not cricket to blow one's own trumpet.
This is meant in the kindest possible way, with the very best of wishes.
Richard.
Seriously Richard? I was being sarcastic when I said that! By no means was I attempting to 'blow my own horn'.Thanks for your post, however, I wish it would have been more 'on topic' instead of making it personal. Come on man, relax...I am by no means flamboyant or ostentatious.
Cheers,

Low profile and understated is generally, though on rare occasion, not always, the traditional Highland Scots way.

Quite right Jock. Then again, that can be a very subjective statement, depending upon the particular Highland Scot in question. I do understand what you are saying and again, I concur. I'd like to get back on topic.

I love the photo of the late Sir Fitzroy Maclean. I own many books that he has written pertaining to Scottish history. Again, wonderful photos-you look very smart and every bit the Highland gentleman.

Looking just the ticket there Robert. Although another year or two of polishing by your footman, may be required for those very smart shoes of yours, if you want to keep up with HRH!

Most shoes sold today in France are made of dull leather ... a pity really. They shimmer instead of shine.
Perhaps yes... with a few years of buffing, if they last that long, may I be able the leather some reflects.
Perhaps would it be wiser for me just to buy new shoes when go out of France.
Best,
Robert
