Wear it or not.
The sight of my leather kilt I guess is not the norm, however Im not the norm, especially as im English. Someone on the tour asked me why I was wearing a leather kilt, I said I was from the Essex Clan...
After all I'm not a Scot. But as I said the hotel staff one in particular made me feel fantastic.
I intend to get a more traditional kilt in time, when I have the spare cash.
Meanwhile I have the get up and go to wear the leather one now.

I cannot see what a leather Union kilt has to do with Scottish National Dress. How could it do any harm to Scottish National feelings?
Greg – who cannot help feeling that Scotland might be the last place in the world for him to wear a kilt.
