This was taken last week before my trip, but was the same outfit I wore in Edinburgh today.
What's this, Matt, sneaking into Edinburgh unannounced and we didn't have a chance to welcome you to Scotland with a kilt night!

No, no kilt night I'm afraid. :-( And I'm even going to be in Hawick tomorrow for a bit most likely.
I'm afraid this is a working trip for me, lads, not a holiday. I've got a full schedule, travelling around with STA director Brian Wilton to tour various tartan mills and other Highland Dress manufacturers in a whirl-wind, educational behind the scenes tour sponsored by Scottish Enterprise. Otherwise I would have let everyone know I would be here in advance and planned a meet up.
I do plan on being at the Pitlochry Games on Saturday if anyone will be there.

Congratulations Matt, a job well done and national news in Scotland! It will be interesting to see how the tartan is used following the Papal visit. We probably wont see the Swiss Guard in kilts but it may turn up in Scottish churches. Seats in my church are upholstered in Dundas tartan.
