Priorities! First of all my very best wishes to your father for a speedy and successful recovery, and secondly welcome to the Tewksbury Club! With the recent delivery of my '100th' I am now the very proud owner of two superb Barb creations - the first, an Isle of Skye, dating from March 2007. I wonder what the third will be?

Whilst we are all keen to see your photos, family matters most certainly must take first place - we are kilties and by default have patience, lots of patience!

    Take care,
    Ham.

Apologies, my mistake. Same sentiment applies though.

Well, dad is home from the hospital and feeling much better, he will be off work for a couple of weeks, and will obviously need to make some diet and excercise changes. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayer.

We took supper over to mom and dad this evening, and I did get to wear my new kilt. Pictures were taken, uploaded to photobucket, and will appear in the next post.

Now, without further delay, the long anticipated unveiling of my new Tewksbury creation!

Upon arrival at the Post Office and the long 5 block trip home the anticipation was growing. When the box was opened I found my kilt neatly packed in heavy white paper to protect it on its journey.

Barb had also included a Kilt Passport to document the life of this kilt. Barb had filled in much data in the front of the Kilt Passport, and I've continued. Hopefully one day when I pass this kilt on to my son he will appriciate this effort.

Along with the paper there were 4 rows of basting stitches to protect the pleats while in shipment. It was nerve wracking taking these out believe me.

The pleats are nearly 5" (12cm) deep.

The front apron of the kilt after unpacking. The spots are on the camera, and not blemishes on the kilt itself.

Now, for some photos of the kilt in use.

    Close-up of the apron.

    The pleat shot.

And finally my lame attempt at a Hamish quality pose!

Needless to say I'm well chuffed of my new kilt, and am sure that I'll get many, many years of good use out of it. It has already after one evening of wearing it become my favorite kilt. Thanks again Barb.

Just realized that I didn't get a picture of me with my lovely wife last evening. Ah well, just another reason to don the kilt.
