Very nice! One of the best looking contemporary kilts I've seen.

That's pretty darn cool. And if there was ever a kilt that could take a beating it's that one.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

    Nice!

I occasionally get requests for a "firefighter's Turnout Fabric" kilt. Now I know where to send them!

Just seeing this thread for the first time. That right there is one of (if not THE) the nicest looking non-tartan kilts I've ever seen.

    AWESOME!

that is one outstanding peice of kit.the effort, thought and spirit going into some of these garments is a real credit to those involved.it's not tartan and it's not scottish,it reminds me of something a spartan warrior or a roman legionair might wear, but as a proud wearer of the kilt myself i'm not taking anything away from it. it's a thing of beauty and i'm very impressed!some photos of it being worn would be eagerly recieved!

I know I'm getting in on this a bit late, but did you try trauma shears? They are like scissors but they are serrated. We use them to cut just about anything someone may be wearing. I have used them to cut leather boots off of a motorcycle accident patient. They seem to cut just about everything I need and always have a pair in my turnout gear.

The kilt looks great. May have to talk to our quartermaster and see if I can get some old gear when its time to replace some old sets and try one for myself.
