Never too olde to look silly. At least the kilt stayed put and didn't answer the question for anyone.
When I first saw the title to your post that's exactly what I pictured -a story about the kilt flying up around your ears.
The other icy morning I was clearing ice off my windshield when I forgot to look down and my shin came in contact with the tongue on my 4X6 trailer. I was wearing pantz put no matter, I still got a nice gouge in my skin and with no harm to the fabric. It hurt like hec. I think I was too cold to bleed. And I was wondering what would have happened if I was wearing my kilt.
Ron, I hope your recovery is speedy. Wear kilts during the process so as not to irritate the wound.

Ouch! Sorry to see that. Lots of ice in Flag too but haven't had that misfortune (yet). And...it is lucky you were wearing a kilt to match the blood (LOL)

I fell flat on my back twice over the weekend during a curling tournament. I'm rather glad I was not kilted at the time.

Hope your wound heals quickly soon Ron.
I got a knee wound due to ice as well last week, didn't fall though. Car door next to where the de-icer spray is kept was frozen solid so I reached in from the other side to grab the can of de-icer. Leaned across the back seat and put my full weight on my knee which just happened to be resting on top of a seat belt attachment. Ouch!

Ouch! I had that happen to me last week as well. Just happened to land on the leg I broke in '08...man, did that hurt!
But, I was wearing pants, which ripped when I fell. At least you don't get wounded AND lose a garment at the same time when kilted!
Ya gotta look on the bright side sometimes..

Hopefully Jock doesn't see. We all know how he feels about being matchy. hehe
I slipped the other day wearing trousers and it didn't help a bit. I still bled and what was worse is the fabric kept rubbing the sore stopping it from clotting. Should have worn my kilt.

Thanks for that - had been wondering if pantz would have helped....guess not. So the recommendation for walking on ice is to wear a red kilt and red kilt hose - just in case....

It's bad when you can post dramatic photos. But it's worse when you can post dramatic xrays.
