Hello from Big Sky Country
Dia dhaoibh,
New guy checking in.
I've been taking pipe lessons for about a year and just recently bought a set of pipes (Naill DN3 for those who are interested). In anticipation of maybe, someday, possibly joining the local pipe band, I decided I'd better get smart on all this kilt-wearing business and so have been lurking here for several weeks. I've had many of my questions answered by perusing these forums, so thanks to all.
My ancestry is Irish for the most part, but I figure you have to let a few of us in here for diversity's sake. I am a card-carrying member of the Clan Cian association.
I have yet to wear a kilt, but one is ordered and paid for and should be here in time for the local games at the end of August. Clan Cian will be the honored clan this year at the games and the local chieftain wanted as many folks as possible in the clan tartan.
Given my history on other message boards and my rank amatuer status, I probably won't be posting much except to ask questions. Even then, I've found that most of the time my questions get answered by searching the forums.
See you at the games,
Kevin
