Jaeson the "old" Bob Chalmers, in his former life, did a superb ancient Davidson for me from material not listed by him but which he sourced, so I am fairly certain he would do the same for you now.

Re: 8yd 16oz Kilt review: "Bobilicious" on Ebay

Okay, so as I am writing this, I am helping myself to a generous helping of humble pie. I did make sure to double check all of the ebay product descriptions, email correspondance, and links Bob had sent me during the 3 month long research period prior to me clicking "buy now." The result, I made several errors which many of you either PM'd me about or posted here.

Yes, the Waterford tartan is from Marton Mills, not Lochcarron. Yes the MacAulay is Lochcarron mills. That was my mistake, and for the hard-core enthusiasts, I hope you didn't spit out your morning coffee when you exclaimed, "That boy's out of his mind! Its Marton Mills, by God!" I had referenced the wrong link; my honest mistake.

Also, yes the MacAulay is pleated to the sett. Its very obvious that its pleated to the sett. No, I have no idea why I said it was to the stripe. And since none of you are my wife: you were right, I was wrong, and yes...I did start this sentence with the word "and." Yes, I know that it is incorrect gramar.

Thanks to the rabble for showing me the error of my ways, and for the built-in learning curve! In any event, the kilts are great, especially the 8yd, and look forward to future dealings with Bob.

    J-
