At least going the other way, you can spend $0.70 or 0.80 on USPS Delivery Confirmation and both of you can track it on the USPS website. Your customer will know when it was received by your local post office, sent to distribution, and when it hits the border.

I'm not sure how the tracking works once it crosses the border heading North, but they will at least be able to know that it left your hands when you said it did.

I recently received one of the XMarks sgian dubh's from The Wizard. It took 9 days in total to arrive, including an examination by Aussie Customs, to ensure it wasn't a double edged dagger. I don't think I have ever had to wait more than 14 days for anything posted from overseas suppliers. When I ordered my XMarks tie for the USA, it was on my doorstep in 3 days. All my suppliers, bar Scotweb, have used their countries National postal service.

If PayPal notified you that it was shipped via Canada Post, why are you bothering Glengarry Hats? The package is already out of their hands...

    here is what paypal said:
    Carrier: Canada Post
Service Type: USA Air Small Packets (4 - 10 business days)
    Signature Confirmation: No

Planned Mailing Date: Mar 5, 2012

They do not state unequivically that it was mailed on that date. That is the reason why I am contacting the vendor. There is nothing to show that it has ever actually been mailed.

Maybe for us kilt and kilt accessory addicts the vendors could put LoJacks in the package so we could know exactly where the package is at any time during its journey.....?

If possible, would that enhance, or minimize, the jones?

In my opinion, the next time you decide you require a Balmoral or Glengarry, I would recommend saving your pennies and order a Robert Mackie bonnet from Chris at Dunadd, it'll save you so much headache and stress, not to mention you would receive a spectactular bonnet in no time at all!

    Best of luck mate,

I've only purchased a caubeen from the vendor in question and had no trouble other than getting slow responses to my emails before I ordered.
