Oh yes, I forgot Dunrossil! I met him for the first time last week. Great chap! He'll make a superb chairman of the SSA.
I share your opinion of Caithness, too--as does Sara.

What does that mean?

Wonderful photos Kenneth! I wish Stephanie and I were able to attend this year - it couldn't have been better weather - perfect for Highland attire! Glasgow looks like a very nice games indeed.
Love the yellow hose, too.

No worries SD, I was only having a bit of fun at yours and Sandy's expense, I hope no one minded. Yes indeed, the yellow hose are smashing as well as noticable and inevitably "great minds" will end up wearing the same "something" to the same event on occasion. It is just one of those things.
I am glad that the day went well for all concerned.

Thanks for posting those great photos!
I have an old friend who moved back to the Lexington area and plays with The Kentucky United Pipes and Drums.

They wear the Kentucky tartan, which as you can see looks much better in the actual fabric and made up into kilts than it does in that little computer generated swatch.
Did you happen to get any photos of them?
Thanks, Richard

I did snap a couple of pictures of Kentucky United. I believe your friend has his back to us in the first photo.

Romily is a frequent visitor to the Games, as is the Baron of Cowdeknowes.
The SSA (Society of Scottish Armigers), of which both the forementioned gentlemen are members, has a 'clan tent' for armigers to gather at if their own clan does not have representation at the Games.
