Inverness cape... color question

Hand your coat in at the door! I can think of more than one big house in Scotland where keeping on a coat, or Inverness is almost essential for ones wellbeing---whilst at a function, or worse still, spending a night there--------heaven forbid that there might be more than one night---------in this circumstance the colour matters not, but its heat retaining abilities certainly do!
