I have a boat cruise coming up (inland waters) and I was thinking of wearing a kilt, but I would pick the heaviest kilt I have, it can get very breezy.
Hey Graham, I will get a picture of me at work in my kilt uniform for sure!
When and where will you be going on your cruise? Do you get out on the water much? I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy being out at sea. I really like being out deep sea but inside waters are nice for the nature and views to see along the way. And about the breeze and the Kilt your out in nature anyway why not be natrual!
Unitl later, Andrew

Let me put it this way. Much of the US experienced race riots in 1969. The town where I work had one in 1999.

This is the boat, this piccie was taken after I'd finished signwriting it (in shorts).
The Adventurer does an all day cruise across MacQuarie Harbour and down the Gordon River. It's a historical tour that tells the story of early convict days and the wonderful achievments of both convicts and settlers, as well as the difficult times they had.
I have two pastors and their wives from our church in America coming over to stay, this is part of a tour we'll take them on.
Andrew, if you want to know more they have a good website: http://www.worldheritagecruises.com.au/
As far as the ocean goes, my wife and I do a lot of scuba diving, so that takes us a little offshore, I like to be under the ocean rather than on top of it.

I work as an assistant English teacher in Japan. I ordered my first kilt a little over a month ago (hopefully it will come soon :o ). I originally was intending to wear it mostly on weekends. However, since ordering my kilt some of the teachers saw me looking at kilt pages online and asked me about it. When the word got around the office that I was buying a kilt I started recieving quite a bit of pressure to wear the kilt in school.
The English teachers will be happy to take me to class and have me explain about it so that they can get out of teaching for half of a class period, and the home economic teachers also want me to go to their sewing classes and talk about the kilt.
This has made me decide that I will make the switch to kilts full time and stop wearing pants, except when participating in sports that require a uniform. Well, at least until winter, which gets cold here in Hokkaido. Not quite as cold as it does in my home town, but the humidity is higher here which can make it feel a lot colder.

What great news!! sounds like a good place you teach at.
They have really made it easy for you.
I'd like to know more about the general reactions you get wearing a kilt in Japan.
Are you able to post any pictures of your kilt when you get it?

I'm sure I will have many stories once I start wearing my kilt here.
The way I understand it, is that since I don't have a webpage that I can link pictures from, that if I send pictures to the host he will post them for me. Is this correct?
I do have a digital camera to take pictures with.
