Lately, I would say that's me too. However, I don't need to wear a tie but a couple of times a year.

Of course, a Poll like this is just a snapshot in time but, it is interesting to see how our X Marks group shakes out!

For me, Kilt wearing is still evolving. The interest was there for some time (all be it latent) but the experience is still new (just a couple of years) and the wardrobe is evolving from utility to tartan kilts. I like to wear my kilts and I find them very comfortable and I am wearing them more often, in different situations so, undoubtedly, I'll wear them more often as time goes on.

I have just watched our news and there was a parade of Queens Scouts at Windsor Castle today and amongst them were a considerable group of kilted Scots Queens Scouts to be seen. I suspect these may have been what you saw.

    Hello to All!

I checked the everyday option even though there are days that the "other thing" is worn. There are definatly times here in North Dakota that a wind gets into one more than is wanted! LOL! Last week Old Man Winter treated us to over twelve inches of snow and lots of wind and not even my LeaderDog Brinkley wanted to be out. Someday winter will be gone and then the peasants will rejoice!

    Jock,

I would have pegged you for a once per month sort of chap. Very insightful.

I need another catagory between the top two, as I wear kilts most days, just not every day.

I usually only am kilted for piping gigs, but this week this has been Wednesday (pipe band gig) Friday (solo gig) and Saturday (attending the Las Vegas Games).

"A couple times a week" covers it fairly accurately.

For awhile I was wearing them everyday. I'm back to driving trucks now and climbing up and around a flatbed trailer wouldn't be too good kilted. So now only on the weekends when I'm home.

Although not identical to your situation this is one of several reasons (occupational functionality) my father has never been kilted. His wardrobe mostly caters to his occupation.

When I'm not working I try to wear a kilt. I work at a public school. This past week I only had one kilted day.
Over the summer I'll be kilted whenever possible. Last summer I believe I had a three week stretch without tr0u$er$.
