29 degrees C? Why that's only a smidge over 302 Kelvin! It's a balmy 95 degrees F here today. Did I get all the temperature scales in?

No it would also be 544 degrees Rankine and 23 deg. Reaumur.

Looks like you all had a good time and I'm just sorry I couldn't be there. Anyway I hope to see some of you at Ashbourne on Suday
P.S. I attended Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in America some years ago and it was over 100F. Now that was hot!!!!!

Paul Henrysomewhere between 28-30'C I imagine, so hot for us, but perhaps not for you,
That's very true. I was in Philadelphia for three weeks, where 28-30C (82-86F) is considered pleasant in the summer, cool in comparison to many days (it's expected to be 38C or 100F today). In the UK, normal maximum temperatures in the London area, the warmest part of the country in the summer, are usually around 22-24C (72-75F), so the recent weather is hot. For Americans, think Seattle or Vancouver, which have a similar climate.

There's always ev (electron volts). While ordinarily used in high-energy physics, it is always to fun to convert ambient earthly temperature to ev - makes you feel a lot cooler when it is hot.
29 degrees C = (only) .026 ev. I'm feeling cold already.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Great pictures, Gentlefolk. Thank you for posting them, and for the commentary. It's great to put so many faces with names/monikers. You have given me a bad case of Harpenden envy. Maybe some day ...
