Wow the only way a review could be worse than this is if they had stolen your car too.

Another bad story.
Emailed Clansman Knitwear on 22Oct at 2:30am about 1 yard of tartan that I needed for my wedding on the 31st. Recieved a reply about 4 hours later that they did have it in stock and would be able to get it to San Diego in time for the wedding. Placed my order. Wedding day came and went with no sign of the tartan.
Got back from the honeymoon and still no package. Emailed Ralph on 10Nov and as of yet have not heard back from him.
Was able to make do in the ceremony with some other fabric that I had at the house, but would have preferred the new that I ordered.
Note to self - always check X-Marks before ordering from a company.

I would only buy from CK if I saw their booth at a Games, held the item I wanted in my hand, and forked over cash.

IF they ever shows up again at a games. They weren't at Estes Park last year, I don't expect them this year and not sure if they will be at Highlands Ranch in South Denver.

That might be easier said than done. One of the quickest ways to locate them at many of the local SoCal events is to look for the booth WITHOUT a sign over it. It seems that they prefer to operate in stealth mode. Unfortunatley for me I was already one of their unlucky and frustrated internet customers when a t-shirt at their booth caught my eye. It wasn't until I was waiting for my change that I began noticing the similarities between who I was buying from and the stuff I had viewed on CK's website.
I've Seen them at 3 more events since then and still no sign.

Next time you see them, walk right up to Ralph and badger him about his shoddy service and inability to take care of customers. Hopefully there will be customers there that hear.

Unfortunately the BBB has a file on him and he is UNSATISFACTORY.
I've heard back from him and the UPS thing said he received my return. Let's see how the rest of this nightmare turns out.
Does he realise what p--- poor publicity he has?

OK, I just had a whiny call from Ralph Weir about my chargeback from Amex and complaint to BBB. Both of which he blew off, not to mention his e-mails from me.
Anyway, he was blaming all this on the distributor instead of that he refused to deal with anyone.
So, I just left a message on the BBB website saying that I talked with owner and he said fault was with the distributor.

I must be the only guy who ever got anything from this guy - one time and on budget! It was several years ago so keep that in mind. Having said that - I think I'll chalk it up to beginners luck and steer clear.

They beat me out of $700 dollars, a deposit on two special weave kilts I ordered. The tent representative was sent to jail on something unrelated and my money disappeared. I wrote to the company and have not received any response.
It seems that Ralph Wier got into some financial difficulty and the company was taken over by a Pakistani group.
You are better served using USA Kilts, Bear Kilts, or Blanford and Son. They deliver. These other guys are just rip-off artists.
